All’s Well That Ends Well

Eva Barabas, a second grade teacher at Greater Brunswick Charter School in NJ, is studying Arnold Lobel.  When it came time for students to work on endings, we created this chart.  She taught her students how to try out different kinds of endings, figuring out which one sounded best and made the most sense for a particular story.  The kids can’t get enough!  Their endings are better than ever and they’re excited about new ways to end stories.  There are lots of other ending types, too.  Check out Writing Good Endings (under the ‘Tools’ button) for more information.
